Maga Bo
Maga Bo moniker fuses the sounds of his adopted home Brazil with breakbeat, hip-hop, drum & bass and dub.
Bo Anderson hails from Seattle, Washington, USA. He decided to up sticks, leaving the home of Grunge and Starbucks for the more favourable climate of Rio de Janeiro where he now resides, recording under the alias Maga Bo.
An accomplished musician and sound engineer, Bo has worked on many different projects in a number of capacities and has also studied Ethnomusicology at great lengths (primarily Arabic music, specifically North African “Sufi” music.) The unique international flavour that Maga Bo brings to Tru Thoughts is evident on his “Tanto Faz” release, a drum & bass bossa nova workout that has received the remix treatment from fellow Tru Thoughts artists Quantic and TM Juke.
