    Mixed Bizness Music Promotion and Artist Agency is an independent organisation based in Glasgow, UK. Representing a select roster of burgeoning artists and DJs, we are here to bring their music to your ears, eyes and feet. Our roster is made up of artists that we not only believe in but whose music we absolutely love. Over the coming weeks we will be profiling some of our acts so that you can get familiar with some of UK’s brightest talents from the leftfield music spectrum.

    Rustie (Stuff Records / Dress2Sweat)

    Glasgow’s prodigal son Rustie is the sound of the underground before the underground has even had a chance to get out of bed. Having battered his way into our ears and minds under his Voltaic moniker with celebrated releases on Glasgow label Point.One Recordings, Rustie has recently come out all guns blazing. ‘Jagz The Smack’ was released on an unsuspecting public through fledgling label Stuff Records and has seen his name uttered in the same breath as electronic luminaries Modeselektor and Flying Lotus. An electronic maverick of the highest order, Rustie marries the energy of hyphy with the low slung bass of dubstep while straddling the stuttering swagger of European electronica with the greatest of ease. Part of the infamous Lucky Me crew alongside Hudson Mohawke and Dema Freakmenoover, keep your eyes and ears open for future collaborations that will confirm this lot as one of the most exciting collectives out there. 2008 will see further releases on Stuff, Hyperdub and remixes for Jahcoozi and Alex Smoke and a plethora of DJ & live shows taking him all over UK and Europe.
