Hot 8 Brass Band are heavily involved in the group Silence Is Violence, which was founded in response to the murder of one of their number, Dinerral Shavers, on the streets of New Orleans last year. Dinerral’s case came to a close yesterday in court, and we want to raise awareness of the issues and this tireless campaigning work, so please read on.
