Hot 8 perform for the BBC (and trounce Moby at busking!)
Hot 8 Brass Band are turning heads in the UK alright. On the first day of their tour they were filmed by the BBC for The Culture Show’s Busking feature, in which they have a different act each week and see who makes the most money from a 15 minute busk.
Well, let’s just say our boys from New Orleans lit up the afternoon of a fair few Londoners on Wednesday AND got a whopping £28.20 for their phenomenal impromptu performance in Hoxton Square, London… and Moby only made a fiver when he was on the show a couple of weeks ago! Hot 8 Brass Band then went on to play a triumphant set at Cargo on Wednesday night to put their official stamp on London Town. Catch Hot 8 on The Culture Show on Saturday 15th March on the Beeb.
