Belleruche Now Signed to Tru Thoughts
We have had our eyes on them for a while, and now Belleruche are firmly signed on the dotted line. Their full length Tru Thoughts release ‘Turntable Soul Music’ will be out later this year.
The threesome is made up of Kathryn deBoer (vocals), Ricky Fabulous (guitar) and DJ Modest (decks).
The band is tipped for success and has already grabbed media attention. MTV say they are “soulful, scratching, jazz-like three piece definitely worth checking out.”
They have previously released a handful of extremely limited 7” records on their own Hippoflex label including the latest ‘Four Songs EP’ out now. “Tracks…that skip between the Big Band theory of ‘Minor Swing’ and the sassy swing of ‘Northern Girls’. Perfect homespun beats.” says DJ Mag.
Watch out for their full length Tru Thoughts release ‘Turntable Soul Music’ out later this summer. ‘Turntable Soul Music’ the band says “comprises of songs inspired by rum induced nights, many of which have been written in train carriages, dubious minicabs and pub backrooms around the UK.”
