Since it first appeared on ‘My Favourite Letters’, Tru Thoughts were inundated with requests to release ‘A Fly In The Hand’ on vinyl.
Its heady combination of Alice’s belting vocals, squelchy bass, TM Juke’s expert production and a killer hook mark it out as a classic slice of 21st Century soulful funk.
The 12” features a dusty hip hop remix of the title track by DJ Vadim (OneSelf, Ninja Tune) as well as a guest appearance by Dirty Diggers (Zebra Traffic), who show off their lyrical flair and dexterity over ‘Hurry On Now’, a track from Alice’s first ‘Under The Munka Moon’ compilation.
