The debut release on Tru Thoughts from an old friend of the label.

Hint first graced Tru Thoughts with a fleeting appearance on the ‘Shapes One’ compilation back in 2003, while he was still signed to Ninja Tune.

The track he licensed to the album, ‘Back To The Wig’ was inspired by the Shake Yer Wig club night that Tru Thoughts label boss Robert Luis ran from 1994-1999 at The Jazz Place, Brighton.

‘The Tremmuh EP’ was Hint’s first proper release since he signed to Tru Thoughts. More dynamic and dancefloor-orientated than anything he had done before, this six-track EP came as a welcome surprise to Hint fans both old and new.

Reactions so far...

  1. Hint: The Tremmuh EP

These six impressive upbeat broken dance tracks make for a hearty EP. Hint gets raw and rude with buzzing-hornet fonky analog bass stabs and ‘nuff scattered percussion. Blink and you’ll miss the wicked Afro-soul/funk cut “Got A Pulse”. A-class music!

An Excellent Jazzy DJ with down tempo beats and grooves contrasted against future-dance floor bombs. This is idyllic electronica.
