Already a live drummer and multi-instrumentalist before he even began tinkering with samplers, Jon’s take on downtempo breaks is a unique and highly personal one.
Combining elements of 20th Century jazz with sitar, ambient techno, live breakbeats, funky guitars, cowbells, cheeky sub-bass, abstract vocals, melancholy samples and a special guest appearance by a trombone-playing busker from Stockport, the music on ‘We’re Just Waiting For You Now’ is a document of Jon Kennedy’s tastes and experiences.
