Super Baxophone
After the success of their eponymous debut EP, Jumbonics released their first album on Tru Thoughts in August 2005.
Combining the old and the new to create a disjointed, jazzy soundtrack for all discarded, outdated and unwanted electronic devices around the world, Rob Mac and Matt Smooth deliver 15 irresistibly quirky cuts of infectious organ-driven jazz-funk and bass-heavy beats.
‘Super Baxophone’ features six tracks lifted from the Jumbonics EP, many of which feature the distinctive timbre of the 1960s Italian Jem Jumbo organ – the initial inspiration for both the name and the sound of this unique project.
