Forgetting To Remember
Kinny and Horne’s debut LP presents a compelling vision of jazz, funk, reggae, soul and hip hop, inspired and informed by their unique life experiences.
Norwegian producer Espen Horne is a man of many talents; a graphic designer, ex-professional goalkeeper for Wigan FC and fashion creative who has worked for Dolce & Gabbana as well as providing Björk with a dress for one of her music videos.
His recordings as Bobby Hughes have been licensed to well over 100 compilation albums, including the soundtrack for ‘Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels’.
For this album Espen has teamed up with Caitlin Simpson (aka Kinny) – a half Jamaican, half Native-Indian, Canadian-born opera singer raised on a diet of reggae and jazz.
Her distinctive vocal style is the perfect compliment for Espen’s accomplished songwriting on an album that’s bursting with standout tracks.
