Fiery, seductive and laden with unforgettable hooks, “Back Street Lust” featuring Diesler is the upcoming second single from Canadian-born opera singer-turned-soul and funk sensation Kinny’s stunning ‘Idle Forest Of Chit Chat’ album, which is out now on Tru Thoughts.

An original and up-to-the-minute brand of modern soul, featuring the production talents of guests including Quantic, Nostalgia 77 and Hint, Idle Forest of Chit Chat came out earlier this year to international acclaim and high profile support from DJs including Mark Lamarr (BBC Radio 2) and Craig Charles (BBC 6Music), as well as glowing reviews and features in DJ Mag, iDJ and many more.

In addition to the lead track, this new digital-only single comes loaded with extra treats including two previously unreleased remixes. The killer Azaxx Remix extends the original into a quirky dancefloor odyssey with flavours of the enormous Latin dancefloor beats of his ‘Exotic Delight Bay’ album, which won over club and radio DJs everywhere on its release in March.

The critically acclaimed Stonephace are also on board, with a characteristically genre-defying remix of the soaringly melodic Hint song, “Afro Love Forest”. Guaranteed to become a firm fixture in club crates everywhere, this reworking builds to a perfect storm, bathed in Stonephace’s unique combination of progressive jazz sensibilities with a dark and dirty drum ‘n’ bass underbelly. Stonephace’s self-titled debut album, featuring band leader and jazz veteran Larry Stabbins, drum ‘n’ bass producer/beatsmith Krzyzstof Oktalski and Portishead guitarist Adrian Utley, has received phenomenal support from tastemakers including Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 1), Kevin Le Gendre (BBC Radio 3) and adoring reviews in the Independent On Sunday, The Guardian and the Wire among others…so you know this remix is going to be something special!

This single release also boasts the Original and Azaxx Remix instrumentals for “Back Street Lust”, as well as Kinny’s captivating a capella versions of both tracks, and the Original instrumental cut for “Afro Love Forest”.
More tastemaker reactions to music from the ‘Idle Forest Of Chit Chat’ album:

• Mr Beatnik – “Strong vocalist, lovely production on both sides. Definitely a much needed winter warmer!”
• DJ Mag – “Fine, funky goodness” 4 STARS
• iDJ – “Indispensable” 4/5
