7 Nation Army EP
Originally recorded as a DJ-only CD-R, ‘7 Nation Army’ went on to become one of Tru Thoughts’ most sought-after singles.
When Robert Luis first dropped the track at Tru Thoughts’ former Brighton residency, ‘phonic:hoop’, the audience response was massive.
Everyone was dying to know who was behind this phenomenal soul-funk cover version of The White Stripes’ hit. When word got out that it was Nostalgia 77 and Alice Russell, the demand for an official release intensified.
‘7 Nation Army’ appears both in original and a cappella form. The EP also features two exclusive tracks – ‘The Turning Point’ and ‘Sad Thing’, the album version of ‘The Funeral’ and a TM Juke remix of ‘The Conventicle’.
