Search The Heavens Remix 12"
The centrepiece of Quantic’s ‘Apricot Morning’ LP gets the remix treatment.
Soaked in soul and featuring the inimitable Alice Russell on vocals, the original version of ‘Search The Heavens’ had already become a hit single in its own right, four months prior to the appearance of this 12”.
This time around, the mighty At Jazz drops some masterful drum programming over the track. Adding delicate keys and laying down an introspective electronic bassline, Mantis Recordings’ very own veteran emphasises the jazzier elements of the original, smoothing out the hard edges to create a truly gorgeous club tune.
On the flipside, Hungarian producer Carmel transforms ‘Off The Beaten Track’ into a throbbing, dubbed-out epic. Prior to this release, Carmel (aka Marcel) had recorded music for Good Lookin’ and Zero db’s Fluid Ounce imprint.
