Tru Thoughts 12 House Bag - Black

‘Sabor’ is the second single lifted from ‘An Announcement To Answer’, Will Holland’s fourth solo album for Tru Thoughts.

Hailed across the board as his best and most accomplished to date, the album was a huge success; entering the independent album charts at number 20 and winning both public and critical acclaim.

Written and recorded on a laptop during an extended period of international gigging and crate-digging, ‘An Announcement To Answer’ features numerous collaborations with some of the talented artists and musicians that Will met along the way.

The title track of this single finds Quantic teaming up with Tempo, a Puerto Rican percussionist who has previously worked with Roberto Roena of the legendary Fania All Stars.

One of the big club tunes from the LP, this smooth 4/4 Latino cut spices things up by switching to a broken beat mid-way through. ‘Sabor’ appears here in original and bonus beats form.

B Side ‘Electric Folklore’ is exclusive to this release. This dirty slice of instrumental broken beat was left off the final running order of ‘An Announcement To Answer’ because Will felt it didn’t fit in with the overall sound of the album.

The single also boasts Quantic’s own club-friendly remix of ‘Politick Society’ featuring Noelle Scaggs on vocals. Best known for her work with The Rebirth, Noelle drops her own personal discourse on the state of the world over some flavoursome Latin-American percussion.
