Come Away 12"
The first in a series of three 12” singles featuring tracks from Alex Cowan’s jaw-dropping second solo album, ‘Forward’.
The extended cut of ‘Come Away’ is a phenomenal Latino club number built around a head-nodding, ass-shaking broken beat and a funky little guitar riff.
Piano, flute and keys all drop in and out of the mix, each stealing their little moment in the spotlight while the track flexes and struts its stuff.
‘Come Away’ also features the vocal talents of Sophie Faricy, formerly of the TM Juke live band.
On the B Side we have two more tunes also lifted from the LP: ‘Lady Garden’ and ‘Life, Rain, Fall’.
“The return to wax of The Man Juke is a real treat. Featuring the irrepressible and rather underrated Sophie Faricy on vocal duties, ‘Come Away’ is a refreshing mid-tempo scorcher with a killer break. Top notch”
Straight No Chaser
“The TM Juke single is as intricate and next-level as always”
Monk One
“This man doesn’t seem to do anything wrong! Three strong tracks”
