All Or Nothing / Calypsoul 7"
Unitone’s first and only release for Tru Thoughts.
This single came out when we decided to colour code our releases – we soon stopped when we realised that no one really paid attention to it… plus it got a bit confusing for us too!
This 7” was the second ‘blue label’ release on Tru Thoughts. Blue coloured labels were supposed to indicated the more downtempo/chilled-out styles, while olive coloured labels represented the funk/jazz/beats oriented tunes.
Unitone’s debut was also the first ever vocal track to appear on a Tru Thoughts 7”.
‘All or Nothing’ features a deep double-bass and strings, combined with the beautiful and haunting folk vocals of Bod.
This track can also be found on the third ‘When Shapes Join Together’ compilation.
