This double-CD set was compiled and mixed by Robert Luis and Quantic for MTV’s extreme sports show, Mono.

Showcasing some of the world’s most daredevil sporting stunts, MTV Mono ran for 16 adrenaline-packed episodes back in 2003.

In addition to writing and recording the title theme of the series, Will Holland was commisioned to programme the soundtrack.

Delving into the Tru Thoughts and Zebra Traffic back-catalogue, the razor-sharp funk, soul and hip hop he selected for Mono effortlessly captured the humour and vitality of the show’s content.

Inspired by the success of the series, MTV teamed up with Will and Robert to produce this official mix CD.

Each disc represents a distinct mood; Horizontal collects laid-back nuggets for more mellow moments, while Vertical brings the uptempo hip hop, soul, funk and breakbeat flavours.
