Shapes Red
Another colourful installment in the Tru Thoughts’ compilation series.
Released in June 2005, ‘Shapes Red’ gave an exclusive airing to several tracks which had – until then – only been available on vinyl.
Highlights on the remix front include Nostalgia 77’s lush, string-laden take on ‘Knee Deep’ by TM Juke and Alice Russell; Zebra Traffic veterans Life and Nappa teaming up with Mr Thing to drop some serious beats, cuts and rhymes over ‘Something That’s Real’ by the Quantic Soul Orchestra; and finally, the Prins Thomas Edit of ‘Mishaps Happening’ by Quantic.
‘Shapes Red’ also features early appearances on Tru Thoughts from Nirobi and Barakas, Kinny and Horne, Jumbonics and former Ninja Tune signing, Hint.
