Werkha delivers another irresistible release with his 'For All Hands EP'

“For All Hands EP” is the latest offering from producer and multi-instrumentalist Werkha. Comprising four dark and disquiet tracks with an experimental groove, the EP builds on the success of the “We Communicate EP” released earlier this year, which gained heavy radio play from Gilles Peterson, Gideon Coe, Don Letts and Julie Adenuga, to name but a few.
The EP fades in with the opening crackle of “So London”, a track that expresses feelings of unease towards the multifaceted city. As a Mancunian living in Glasgow, Werkha uses this track to highlight the underlying current of discontent and unfairness he has perceived in London - “It screams opportunity, but at what expense?” The conflicting blend of samples eerily echo notes of disparity, intelligently intertwining to form a strikingly complex mirror of the sounds of the city.
