Out 8th July on Tru Thoughts, the ‘Not Been Televised EP’ is the new 6 track package from the talented emcee Durrty Goodz. This EP showcases some heavy Hip Hop originals, instrumentals and A Cappella’s, and the recently highlighted “Organise” that debuted on the double A-sided single, “Organise” / “BMP” (out 24th June) which has had early radio support from Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6Music). Maintaining the hype, this string of projects will be topped off by the 10-track Grime release ‘Hungry Belly’ (out 19th August) which will drop later this year.
“Not Been Televised is a revolutionary project” Goodz explains. “It's all about social equality”. Co-produced by Goodz and Micall Parknsun (who’s previously released on trailblazing Hip Hop labels such as YNR Productions, Sit Tight Records & Low Life Records) the EP features six new tracks, including a collaboration with Tru Thoughts label-mate Ty.
Durrty Goodz has earned himself a reputation as a first-class wordsmith, with his undisputed flow and lyrical versatility in the Grime and Hip Hop scenes. London-born Dwayne Mahorn possesses a natural ability to flitter seamlessly between many styles - from Grime, Dancehall and Reggae to Hip Hop and Jungle - and hook you with his magnetic verse. Over the years Goodz has procured a loyal following from the likes of Kate Tempest to Pitchfork, XLR8R, Fact and more. His on-point freestyles have led him to perform on Westwood’s show and make multiple appearances on Charlie Sloth’s ‘Fire In The Booth’.
